2008 Danny Kelley
July 8 - 14th Lux 3rd baseman Danny Kelley continued his hot streak this past week and led Lux to a share of the Skagit Valley Invitational. Kelley scorched opposing pitching at a .500 clip going 8-16 with a double and 5 RBI - 4 of which came on 2 out base hits. At the hot corner Kelley also made two stellar run saving plays late in the Lux 5-4 opening game win over the Riverdawgs.
Tim Wilson June 30 - July 7th
Senior Tim Wilson earns his second Player of the Week award for his outstanding performance at the John Nero Wood Bat Invitational. The Lux 2nd baseman was on fire offensively hitting .500 over the week with 3 doubles, 2 home runs, and 9 RBI while scoring 6 runs to lead Lux to the tournament championship.
Roger O'Neill June 17 - 24th
Roger O'Neill earns this weeks Player of the Week for his outstanding effort against a tough Bozeman club in the Palouse Summer Series. With the bracket championship on the line and a depleted pitching staff on the bench, O'Neill provided a Complete Game performance allowing just 4 hits in a big 3-2 Lux win at Pullman. O'Neill got better as the game went on and showed true competitiveness when, with no outs and the tying run at 3rd in the 7th, he struck out the DH and dominated the final two batters who popped out to end the threat.
AJ Morrow June 8 - 16th
The big right-hander from Inglemoor got his 3rd start of the year and made the most of it tossing a no hitter against Capital at B.C.C. Morrow kept hitters off balance throughout the game allowing 4 hits to give Lux a much needed 'W'. Morrow also hit a towering 3 run bomb at the UW the following game. Way to go AJ !
Alex Stanford June 1 - 7th
Lux Shortstop Alex Stanford kept on his tear at the plate this week. In a rain shortened week, Stanford ended the week 6-13 with 2 doubles and a triple and 4 RBI while scoring 6 times. The senior from Inglemoor is hovering at .400 for the year and continues to lead the club in RBI's.
Tim Wilson May 24 -30th
The senior 2 Bagger from Redmond had an outstanding week for Lux Homes. Over the course of the 7 game week including the Nike Memorial Day Tournament, Wilson hit at .434 clip going 10-23 with 3 doubles, a triple and scoring a team high 9 runs. Wilson was a catalyst offensively in Lux victories over the Wave, Bank and the System and had a 1.000 fielding % on 17 chances as our 2nd baseman. To top it off, he was also selected to play in the All State Game in Spokane. Great work Tim ! ____________________________________________________________________________________________
2007 June 19 - 25 Tyler Zeman J 'Zee' continued his torrid hitting streak opening the week with a 2 run home run against Taylor to warm up for Arizona. In Phoenix he knocked in 6 runs in Game 1 against Dallas and plated a total of 12 runs on the weekend, hitting .450 with 4 extra base hits and posting a .650 On-base percentage for the tournament.
June 7 - June 12 BJ LEACH
Leach got the start vs. Edmonton in the early game on Saturday at W.S.U promising a victory. He delivered on that promise with an outstanding complete game 2 hitter in the 7-0 Lux win. Leach struck out 4 and allowed just two runners to get reach 2nd base all day. Leach has had three consecutive quality starts for Lux including two complete games - all Lux Homes victories. You da man Beege !
May 30 - June 6 HILTON RICHARDSON
The Lux centerfielder had a great week for LB coming up clutch many times. He had an .800 on base % for the week, stealing 5 bases and scoring 6 runs. Richardson also hit over .550 on the week with three triples. and a walk off bases loaded double to best Bank in the bottom of the 7th. To end the week, Hilton got the call from the Kansas City Royals as their 7th round pick in the MLB draft. A pretty fair week in deed !
May 26 - 29 CHRIS SPENCER
Right Hander Chris Spencer was named 'Player of the Week' for his outstanding pitching performance Monday against Chaffey. Spencer threw a complete game allowing 2 hits while leading Lux to the victory 2-1. Spencer allowed both hits after 2 outs in the 6th and shut down a 7th inning threat to seal the win. Great job Chris !
